Clinton L. Smith, Esq.
Clinton L. Smith worked in the construction industry for 10 years and operated his own construction company for four of those years. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Humboldt State University, and his law degree from California Western School of Law in 1983 where he was the Managing Editor of the California Western School of Law International Law Journal.
Clinton's early years in law included trial and appellate level practice in real estate broker fraud, professional malpractice, contract and business disputes, and real estate matters. Clinton continued his practice in general civil litigation, including construction defect litigation, with an emphasis in family law matters, until founding the LoCoco Smith law firm. He has extensive experience in mediation and arbitration and served as a Superior Court Pro Tem settlement judge.
Since founding the LoCoco Smith law firm, Clinton has restricted his practice to construction defect litigation. He is an advocate for consumer rights and specifically for the preservation of homeowner rights. He is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys of California, and a member in good standing of the California State Bar.
